
Overview: This is a strictly not-for-profit ride that brings together mates, former clients and new friends to join us on our annual ride from our winter base to our summer one. This year we intend to be supporting the Help for Heroes charity, making every push of the pedals really worth it!
IMPORTANT: Participants are expected to provide their own vehicle support for the trip (or arrange it with us) and to muck in/help out wherever they can!
Duration: 4 nights
Trip start: 10am, Saturday 30th April 2011. Courchevel le Praz roundabout.
Level of experience required: Some road cycling experience and a good fitness level.
Riders can bail at any stage during any given day (without getting any grief!). All riders must ensure that there is room for them and their bike in a supporting vehicle.

Saturday – Day 1
Depart Courchevel Le Praz for le Pont du Diable. 92km.
A long downhill from La Praz, some cruisy flat riding past Albertville and a tough climb to end the day.

Sunday – Day 2.
Pont du Diable to Paladru. 91km.
Cycling out of the National Park des Bauges, around the lake at Chambery and up to the pretty Lac de Paladru

Monday – Day 3
Paladru to Nozieres. 146km.
A longer day but with good, fast stretches for much of the morning. Today we cross the Rhone river and enter the Ardèche.

Tuesday – Day 4
Nozieres to Lagorce. 103km
A full day of ‘roly poly’ riding in the Ardèche with lots of ups and downs and ending with an (optional) 11km race to the finish at Lagorce.

Participants are encouraged to stay for a few days in the Ardèche. If the sun is out then the canoe descent of the gorge is a must. There is also fantastic local climbing, hiking, cycling (if you can take it!) and much more. Reduced rates at our hotel for riders and supporters.
Cost and more information
Cost: TBC. Should be around €200/person. Money to Adam Breen of Evasion Travel. He will charge a little extra in order to not be left short and will donate any leftover cash to Help for Heroes.
Cost includes:
Help for Heroes cycling shirt, accommodation and food for 4 nights. Bike tools and spares.
Cost excludes:
Bikes (hire can be arranged at http://www.moutnbike.fr/ in Moutiers – also good at bike servicing), vehicle support.
