Poor us! At Evasion Travel we spent much of our spare time in the Ardeche doing climbing ‘research’. Painstakingly visiting all of the crags in the area to find the best sport climbing venues, trickiest boulder problems and laziest of lazy beaches to relax on afterwards.
There are literally thousands of routes on dozens of limestone and granite crags in the area as well as over 300 days of sunshine a year! See our interactive google map.
Local crags are equipped for ‘sport’ climbing with fixed protection on established routes and grades that allow you to take it easy or push yourself to the max!
Our climbing holiday/course packages include at least one session with a local instructor (and sometimes a lot more!) so that you can be sure of knowing the local techniques and ethics.
