The Ardèche is famous for canoeing in the stunning gorge.

Click here to see our incredibly popular Ardèche Classic Break, a 2-3 night self-guided canoe trip through the Ardèche gorge.

Each year we also run a programme of Ardèche canoeing courses shown below

[NOTE: If you would like a self-guided trip and to be surrounded by like minded travellers, check out our hotel or self catered gites. You can also use our 'Create a trip' feature to have us help.]

You can join these courses or we can run a private one for your group. Courses are designed to run at three levels and allow you to canoe the best Ardèche rivers:

  1. Beginner development. You have a basic understanding of the sport and want to move to the next level.
  2. Performance plateau. You have been doing your sport for a while but need some help to master new skills.
  3. Peak proficiency. You’re pretty good and are after some fine tuning to become a true expert.

All of our courses are provided in conjunction with specialist coaches and instructors and are based on specific aims and structured itineraries to maximise learning and progression. Courses are delivered in English.

The Ardèche gorge is famous in the canoeing world and many thousands of people come each year to enjoy the scenic river descent.

We’ll certainly be paddling the gorge but we’ll head to some lesser known lakes and rivers in the Ardeche as well in order to provide the necessary variety for skills development.
