Overview:
The BCU 2 Star is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop the fundamental paddlesport skills. The emphasis is to gain experience and be able to put this into practice and get the desired effect. This will be achieved by paddling a canoe and kayak. The trip includes a 2-day river descent with overnight camping plus 3 nights based at our hotel.
Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival and orientation – introduction to the course
Day 2 (Ardeche)
This will be a paddle from Salavas to Chames looking at kayak skills and planning.
Day 3 (Ardeche)
1st Day of Ardeche River Descent by canoe. River reading, putting into use skills on moving water, experimenting will combined paddle strokes and bBivouac making.
Day 4 (Ardeche)
2nd Day of Ardeche River Descent by canoe. Rescue skills and moving water skills continuation, using the water to your advantage, equipment, environment and access theory.

Departure
This course costs €685 (c. £585) per person.
Cost includes:
Coaching staff, canoes & specialist equipment, tents and sleeping mats, sleeping bags.
Airport/train station pickup and drop off from Nimes or Avignon and all local transportation.
Accommodation (1 night camping, 5 nights hotel)
Breakfast and dinner when in hotel accommodation.
Cost excludes:
Travel from home to Nimes/Avignon, lunches, campsite breakfasts and dinners, personal accident & belongings insurance.
